This is really in addition to the Thot (which follows) but I wanted to address the multitude of mail problems people have been having. Let me just say that *I* didn't write majordomo, and wish, quite frankly, at this point, that my ISP were using listserv instead. Some of you are sending mail from yourname@domain.one.two one time, and then the next time it comes simply from yourname@one.two and I'm not sure why this is. Since majordomo only recognizes an exact match it is bouncing mail that comes from yourname@one.two if you're subbed as yourname@domain.one.two and vice versa. I believe that this problem is stemming from those subbing from the web page, and entering their email address one way when their mail system actually sends it the other. I'm working with my ISP to solve this right now, but in the mean time, please be patient, and if your post bounces, I'll resend it to the list with a special header that will override the system and post it anyway. Sorry for the confusion! Anyway, here's tonight's thought: Part of what I love about Milne's writing (including his poetry and plays) is his liberal use of personification. It's just hillarious and this is my most favorite example: Pooh's side of the room was slowly tilting upwards and his chair began sliding down on Piglet's. The clock slithered gently along the mantlepiece, collecting vases along the way, until they all crashed together on to what had once been the floor, but now was trying to see what it looked like as a wall. Uncle Robert, who was going to be the new hearthrug, and was bringing the rest of the wall with him as carpet, met Piglet's chair just as Piglet was expecting to leave it, and for a little while it became very difficult to remember which was really the north. Then there was another loud crack...Owl's room collected itself feverishly...and there was silence. Only A. A. could describe a room reorienting itself so vividly and so humorously! God Bless! CR
