Are you ready for this? Then sit back and get ready to watch the past year flash before your eyes as you review the hightlights as seen in the ZEP. Of course it can't all be included here. Most of these items are pretty significant, some are just things I found interesting or amusing. I didn't list birthdays, except for one. I figure the half century mark is a big one. Ask Glenda, it was her turn last year. At any rate, if you've been with us, this will be perhaps nostalgic, for those of you who are newer, you can see where we've been. And if you don't see yourself in here- it may be that you don't post enough!
- May 8, 1997 - The 1st Anniversary of the Zone Enchanted Place!
- May 9, 1997 - Eliana Marie Ishii born.
- May 23, 1997 - Glenda gets biopsy results- SHE BEATS CANCER!
- May 28, 1997 - The inestimable James Milne joins the fold.
- May 30, 1997 - Jeff Travis coins the term "Zeppage".
- June 18, 1997 - Ann Vinopal marries her hunny, Mark.
- June 20, 1997 - Jeff Travis weds in Pooh vest and tie!
- June 29, 1997 - Julie Atkinson wows Carnegie Hall!
- July 19, 1997 - Lisa Maxham marries Chris Lee.
- July 28, 1997 - Lynn undergoes emergency open heart surgery.
- Sep 16, 1997 - Unsubscribe instructions now appended to the bottom of every post - and people still can't figure it out!
- Sep 20, 1997 - ZEP Member's Gallery goes on line.
- Oct 1, 1997 - James' site The Page at Pooh Corner gets a new look.
- Oct 3, 1997 - Ragnhild arrives in England, and resubs from an account that "looks like cartoon swearing", as she put it.
- Oct 9, 1997 - Following James' lead, the Galleons Lap site gets a facelift.
- Oct 14, 1997 - Donna takes over the helm as card exchange coordinator and organizes an exchange.
- Nov 2, 1997 - The Old Curmudgeon turns 50!!!
- Nov 10, 1997 - Thanks to Sarah, we learn that the ratio of sheep to people in New Zealand is 2:1.
- Nov 13, 1997 - The now-infamous "Cool Spice" saga begins.
- Jan 6, 1998 - We find out that Ragnhild is actually pronounced "Robin". :-)
- Jan 13, 1998 - Robin starts the "meaning of your name" thread which is STILL going on, making it the longest running ZEP thread ever.
- Jan 25, 1998 - Valentine's Day card exchange.
- Feb 5, 1998 - A British plot to 'relocate' the Pooh originals is exposed, and squashed by P.M. Blair.
- Feb 16, 1998 - It did NOT rain in Vancouver, B.C.!!
- Feb 16, 1997 - Kenzie Amber Helmick born! Yet another Pooh fan in the making.
- Mar 7, 1998 - Betsy Veal marries Mike Jones.
- Apr 6, 1998 - Besty temporarliy turns the ZEP into a Paddington list! :-)
- Apr 10, 1998 - James "publishes" his famous "Rabbit" essay.
- Apr 13, 1998 - Donna gets engaged!
- May 8, 1998 - James leaves Iowa State with a Computer Engineering degree. Way to go!
- May 8, 1998 - ZEP celebrates 2 years!
